Rajini Murugan Actor Pawnraj Passes Away After Suffering A Heart Attack
The nation is facing a challenging time currently, and in the last few weeks, many celebrities passed away either due to COVID-19 complications, or cardiac arrests. In another shocking and heartbreaking news, Tamil actor Pawnraj has passed away after suffering a heart attack. The news of his demise was shared by director Ponram. Pawnraj worked alongside Ponram as a co-director is many projects.

Director Ponram tweeted, “Pawnraj, who worked as a co-director along with me for a number of projects and who acted in movies like Rajini Murugan and Varthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam, died in a heart attack today.” The last project that Pawnraj worked on as a co-director was Vijay Sethupathi’s film #VJS46. Pawnraj has been a part of several films such as Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam, Rajini Murugan and Seema Raja.

However, his most remembered performance till date was in Sivakarthikeyan, Soori and Keerthy Suresh starrer Rajini Murugan. He rose to fame with the Maduraikkaran scene in the film.


Soon after the heartbreaking news of Pawnraj’s demise surfaced, South film fans mourned his demise. “His comedy scenes were hilarious & made us laugh aloud! May his soul RIP,” wrote one, while another wrote, “2021 is adding up to its name of the WORST year.”

Last month, Tamil actor Vivekh passed away after suffering a heart attack. His Sivaji co-star Rajinikanth, Prakash Raj, AR Rahman and others penned heartfelt tributes for the late actor.
