South superstar Rajinikanth is currently basking in the success of his recent blockbuster Jailer. He recently made the headlines when he went on a trip to the Himalayas, which he had to cut short due to COVID-19. The actor met with Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday in the state capital Lucknow. Videos of their meet are going viral on social media, which has left the netizens with mixed feelings.

In the video that is currently going viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, sees the 72-year-old veteran actor getting down from his car. He climbs the steps and meets with the CM, where he greets him by bowing down and touching his feet. Enraged at this, netizens took to the comment section of the post and brutally trolled him. The post read, “Did he really touch Yogi Adhiyanat's feet?!! Talking about Jailer, it is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Muran. Released on August 10. The movie also stars Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan in pivotal roles. It also has a surprise cameo by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. The movie has been declared a blockbuster success as it has collected ₹350 crore worldwide in just a few days of its release.
