Thalapathy 65: Makers CONFIRM Pooja Hegde Will Star Opposite Vijay In The Action-Thriller- VIDEO
Makers of Thalapathy 65 took to their social media to confirm that Pooja Hegde has been cast as Vijay’s co-star the action-thriller. Take a look!
Fans have been extremely excited and have been waiting for an update ever since Vijay’s next film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Thalapathy 65 was announced. There was a lot of buzz on social media as to who will be the leading lady in the film. There were speculations about Pooja Hegde returning to Tamil cinema after almost 9 years with this film. Now, the makers have confirmed the same, revealing that Pooja Hegde will be playing the leading lady and will star opposite Vijay in Thalapathy 65.
Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Thalapathy 65 is produced by Sun Pictures, while Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for this highly anticipated film. Today, the official Twitter page of Sun Pictures made the announcement that Pooja Hegde has been roped in for the film. Sharing a video introducing the actress, the caption read, “The gorgeous @hegdepooja onboard as the female lead of #Thalapathy65 ! @actorvijay @Nelsondilpkumar @anirudhofficial #Thalapathy65bySunPictures #PoojaHegdeInThalapathy65.” The 52-second video shows Pooja Hegde being introduced as the female lead of Thalapathy 65.

Pooja Hedge had made her Tamil debut with the 2012 film Mugamoodi. This will mark her return to Tamil cinema after almost a decade. The actress has quite a few interesting projects in her pipeline, including Radhe Shyam with Prabhas, Most Eligible Bachelor, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s Acharya. She will also be seen in Cirkus, which stars Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma.
