Vignesh Shivan has addressed the concerns about his online activity on his Twitter account after fans noticed that he had liked a post discussing a reported dispute between Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Vignesh offered his apologies and urged his fans to refrain from expending their energy on what he referred to as a minor oversight. Vignesh tweeted, "Dear Vijay sir fans , Loki fans … sorry for the confusion (folded hands emoticon) without even seeing the msg, the context or the content of the video or the tweet, by just seeing Loki’s interview I liked the video ! cos am a big fan of his works and his interviews and the way he speaks!" He further mentioned his excitement for the upcoming release of Leo and admitted that he should have exercised caution before reacting. His social media post stated, "I'm also eagerly looking forward to the grand release of Thalapathy Vijay sir's Leo. It was an impulsive action, I just liked the post upon seeing Lokesh bro's image in the interview, similar to the way I appreciated a clip of Nayan where she delivered an outstanding performance, which was one of my favourite shots, and I instantly liked that tweet as well. My mistake! I didn't even watch the video or read the context behind both instances. I should have been more attentive. I apologize." The situation unfolded when Vignesh inadvertently liked a now-deleted tweet discussing the rumoured discord between Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj. The tweet in question had stated, "@Dir Lokesh sir, We all know what happened between you and @actorvijay after #NaaReady song release, and we clearly understand why you would need to remove the #Leo hashtag and refrain from using #Vijay's name in any of your promotions thereafter..." Following Vignesh's clarification of his error, numerous fans expressed their gratitude in the comment section.

The highly anticipated trailer for Leo, directed by Lokesh Kangaraj and starring Thalapathy Vijay, was released a few days ago, creating a significant buzz on the internet. The film is set to hit theaters on October 19.
