Vijay Sethupathi Confirms His Participation In MasterChef: ‘I Will Be Hosting The Tamil Version’ - EXCLUSIVE
Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi will be hosting the next season of the popular culinary show MasterChef. Confirming the same he tells me, “As you know MasterChef is an international cooking franchise. They have their show in many countries in many different languages. I will be hosting the Tamil version of MasterChef.” MasterChef is a popular competitive cooking show, and while MasterChef Australia is currently in its 13th season, MasterChef India has had six seasons so far, and one season of MasterChef India Junior.

Reportedly Vijay has been paid a staggering amount of money to be on MasterChef Tamil. He shrugs off the finances of the deal. “I never accept any offer for the money. It’s the connect with the people that pushes me to be a part of any film , or for that matter any show, like MasterChef. In fact, I have been hosting another television show Namma Oru Hero for two years. This is a  Tamil  weekly show where I  bring into the limelight unsung heroes ,  the working class  soldiers, the doctors, nurses, school teachers…For  me they are the real  heroes.”

Is his interest in Masterchef connected to  his interest in cooking? “I am more into eating than cooking. But food is always interesting for me,” quips Vijay Sethupati.

The first season of MasterChef Tamil will air on Sun TV. The channel took to their social media accounts to share a promo of MasterChef Tamil which showed Vijay Sethupathi getting off of a helicopter. In case you missed it, check it out below:
