Telugu actor Adivi Sesh, who is all set to make his Bollywood debut soon with his multilingual film Major, suffered a health scare recently as he was rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad after getting infected with Dengue and consequently suffering with a sudden drop in blood platelet count. The actor was to be kept under observation until Monday.
Adivi’s team had released a statement concerning the actor’s health update saying that his condition is being monitored by doctors. It further read, “Actor Adivi Sesh has been infected with Dengue last week and due to a sudden drop in blood platelets, he has been hospitalised on 18th Sep. His condition is closely being monitored by a team of doctors. Any development regarding Sesh’s health would be communicated officially.”
Meanwhile, one the work front, Adivi has been working on his ambitious project Major for about five years now. The film is a biopic of NSG Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred during the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai in 2008. He lost his life while saving countless others in the Taj Hotel.
The film’s teaser was released in April this year and it was to release this July but due to the pandemic, things had to be pushed. The team completed the last schedule of the film just last month.
Apart from Adivi playing Sandeep in Major, the film also features Saiee Manjrekar as Isha, Sandeep’s love interest in his school, and Sobhita Dhulipala as Pramoda. Prakash Raj and Revathy also star in the film as Sandeep’s parents.
Major is directed by Adivi’s Goodachari director Sashi Kiran Tikka and jointly produced by Mahesh Babu, Sony Pictures India and A+S Movies. It will also mark the debut of actor Mahesh Babu as a producer under his banner GMB Entertainments.
