Actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas who will soon be making his Bollywood entry with the remake of Chatrapathi has been roped in to play Dhanu's role in the official remake of Karnan. Bellamkonda who watched Dhanush in an action-packed role has been bowled over by the script and execution. He is eagerly waiting to start the film in Telugu.
The actor will start shooting for the film once he wraps up the remake of Chatrapati which has been delayed due to the second wave of Covid. A huge set had been created in Hyderabad for the first schedule of his Bollywood debut film however, as the cases have been on the rise, the shooting for the same has been delayed. The film is directed by VV Vinayak under Pen Studios banner.
Karnan which released this year on 9th April grossed good numbers at the box office and also garnered an overwhelming response from both critics and the audience alike. The original film directed by Mari Selvaraj saw Dhanush playing the role of a social fighter; this will be the actor's 8th film that is to be remade in Telugu
While only Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas has been confirmed, the makers will soon announce the entire cast and crew of the film.
