Chiranjeevi Pens A Heartfelt Note For Telugu Doctor Who Refuses To Leave Ukraine Without His Pets: 'I Pray For Your Safety'
India has assisted several stranded Indian citizens from the war-torn cities of Ukraine to date but the news of the Indian doctor refusing to leave the country without his pet showed that humanity still prevails even in the toughest times. An Indian doctor Girikumar Patil from Andhra Pradesh decided not to leave Ukraine without his pets. He has been living in a basement with his pet a black panther, and a jaguar. Many people have appreciated his efforts, and now Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi lauded the doctor for his step.

Taking to Twitter, Chiranjeevi wrote, “I am delighted and touched to learn that your love for Jaguars and Panthers was inspired by me. It is truly heartening that you are not willing to leave them behind during this unfortunate war time and are choosing to stay back in Ukraine for the sake of care giving to your pet Panther and Jaguar." He added, "Your compassion and love for these wonderful creatures is highly admirable. I pray for your safety during this challenging period and wish the war ends soon and normalcy is restored at the earliest. Meanwhile please stay safe and look after your pets. God Bless! Chiranjeevi."

BBC reports said, Dr. Patil is from Tanuku, Andhra Pradesh's West Godavari district, and went to the eastern European nation in 2007 to study medicine. Patil bought the animals from the Kyiv zoo about 20 months ago. The report further suggests that his love for animals was inspired by megastar Chiranjeevi.

To evacuate its citizens from Ukraine, India is carrying out ‘Operation Ganga’ with a motive to bring back a majority of Indians from different cities of Ukraine. Earlier Rishabh Kaushik, a resident of Dehradun returned to India with his pet dog "Maliboo" and Dr. Patil also hopes that the Indian embassy will help him to take back home all his pets.
