Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya Teaser Release, Soorarai Pottru Entering Oscars Race And More: This Week’s News From Down South
This week, projects that feature megastar Chiranjeevi, South star Suriya and actor-producer Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Major and many others made it to the headlines. Films like megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya’s teaser release, film Soorarai Pottru entering Oscars race, and Mahesh Babu announcing the release date of film Major were among the top few news that caught everyone's attention. The movie release date announcement of the upcoming Yash and Sanjay Dutt film KGF Chapter 2 was trending on the internet for hours.

On January 26, music composer GV Prakash Kumar made a tweet, announcing that Suriya's film Soorarai Pottru has entered the race to win Oscars. The music composer tweeted, "Am super happy to announce that #SooraraiPottru enters the #oscars race . including best original score category. god bless .” He tagged Suriya and a few others in the post. The film is directed by Sudha Kongara.

Megastar Chiranjeevi took to his Twitter to share the teaser of Acharya with his fans. The teaser was released on January 29. It stars Chiranjeevi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Ram Charan. And, the film is slated for a 2021 release. Sharing the teaser video, megastar Chiranjeevi wrote, “Witness our Vintage Megastar as ACHARYA!"

Mahesh Babu announced the release of the upcoming film Major, backed by his production company. The film stars Sesh Adivi and Mahesh Babu mentioned it will release on July 2, 2021. Two days back, on January 29, RRR star Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Konidela shared a picture of her as she took the COVID-19 vaccination. She shared photos and wrote about her experience in the caption. Upasana was clicked donning a face mask.

KGF Chapter 2 star Yash made a post on his social media handles. He shared a poster of the film and announced that the film will release on July 16, 2021.

Apart from the above-mentioned news, during the week, Samantha Akkineni revealed why Naga Chaitanya is anti-social. Sun Pictures also made a tweet and announced that superstar Rajnikanth’s film Annaatthe will release in theatres on November 4, 2021.
