Actor Mahesh Babu on Thursday announced that there won't be any update releasing on May 31st regarding his upcoming film Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which also stars Keerthy Suresh. The decision was taken in the wake of the second wave of Covid-19 in the country. Ever since Mahesh Babu announced Sarkaru Vaari Paata last year on his father Krishna Ghattamaneni's birthday i.e May 31, fans have been eagerly waiting to see a glimpse of the actor from the film. Since May 31 is a very special day for Mahesh Babu, his fans assumed that he would announce something about the film this year too.
The actor's fans were expecting the first-look poster of the film on May 31, which marks his father's 78th birthday, however, the makers today released a statement stating otherwise.
The statement read, "In view of the current circumstances, for each one of us personally and the society at large, the makers of #SarkaruVaariPaata believe it's not a right time to give out any updates regarding the film."
The makers also urged everyone to not spread any rumors about the film, "Request you to not spread any unofficial and falseful news regarding this. All official updates will be posted first on our official accounts. Till then - stay safe and take care," the added.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata is an action film written and directed by Parasuram. It is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus, and G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, the film stars Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh. The film is scheduled to be released theatrically in January 2022 coinciding with Sankranti.
