SHOCKING! Mahesh Babu Declines Offers From Bollywood, Says, ‘They Can't Afford Me, I Don't Want To Waste My Time’
Mahesh Babu is one of the biggest stars of Telugu cinema and there is no denying that. The actor recently attended the trailer launch event of his production ‘Major’ in Hyderabad where he talked about getting offers from Bollywood. Speaking at the trailer launch event, Mahesh left everyone surprised as he said Hindi Film Industry can’t afford him and that he does not want to waste his time.

The Sarileru Neekevvaru actor revealed that he receives a lot of offers from Bollywood but he is not interested to take it up. Mahesh Babu said, “I may sound arrogant, I did get a lot of offers in Hindi. But I think they can't afford me. I don't want to waste my time. The stardom and love I have here in Telugu cinema, I never thought of going to another industry. I always thought I will do films here and they will become bigger, and my belief is turning into a reality now. I can't be happier.”

The 46-year-old South superstar added that instead of pitching himself as a pan-India actor, his aim is to make films that get a countrywide success. Mahesh Babu also mentioned that his strength lies in Telugu films and the emotion he understands is the Telugu film emotion. "Today the emotion is so strong, films have become so big that the lines have blurred and it's become Indian cinema," the actor further said.

On a related note, ‘Major’ will trace real-life incidents based on the 2008 Mumbai terror attack martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the biographical drama stars Adivi Sesh in the titular role and is bankrolled by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies.
