Telugu actress Pragya Jaiswal shares the names of her fashion inspiration and what she looks for while choosing an outfit
When it comes to fashion, Indian actresses are right there at the top with the supermodels and Hollywood actresses. The film industry depends on the principle that what looks good, sells. Be it a fashion icon like Sonam Kapoor or an evergreen diva like Rekha, Indian film industry has produced several fashion legends.
Coming to the South film industry, Telugu actress Pragya Jaiswal is one actress who keeps herself up to date with the latest fashion trends and if her Instagram is anything to go by, she knows how to carry herself well. So, when asked about that fashion icon that inspires her fashion choices, Pragya shares, “I don’t have any one specific fashion inspiration as it keeps on changing for me. I am inspired by a lot of Hollywood celebrities. I really like Kendall Jenner and how her style is so effortless and I also like Bella Hadid. My latest fashion obsession is the singer Dua Lipa. I love her styling and also that of Hailey Bieber. These two girls dress up so well and I look up to them. So, for me, last year it was Kendall and Bella, and this year it is Dua and Hailey,” she laughs.
So, what are her priorities when she is choosing an outfit for an event? “It depends on the kind of event or occasion that I am dressing up for. If it is a red carpet, then it is just about how beautiful and stunning the outfit looks on me, even if it is super uncomfortable or it feels like I am dying. For such occasions, you should be okay with a little discomfort as what looks nice to the eyes is important. For those times, it’s just about how glamorous or stunning you are looking,” Pragya insists.
However, she has another checklist when it comes to other occasions. “For any other event than a big, formal event, it is definitely comfort over anything for me. I go for things that fit me really well and colours that suit me. I am big on colours and I love to wear beautiful, bright colours. They lift up my mood. I like my clothes to reflect that and be well fitted. So, for normal occasions, it’s comfort, colours and fit for me but for big events, I can die out of discomfort, but it has to look stunning,” Pragya signs off with a laugh.
