Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu made headlines last month after the couple announced their divorce in a joint statement on social media. The duo parted ways after four years of their marriage and released a statement on Instagram. The estranged couple mentioned that no matter what, they will cherish the times they spent with each other. During the course of her marriage, Samantha has reportedly never done skin shows, in fact, she did select roles in films as she did not want to disrespect the Akkineni family with her choices.
Now, as per the latest report in Bollywoodlife.com, Samantha, recently, agreed to do an item number in Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film ‘Pushpa’. The shooting for the song will start in the last week of this month. The report added that Samantha agreed to do an item number shortly after her separation with Naga, which has now made netizens feel that Chaitanya might be was orthodox and might have imposed restrictions on his then-wife.

For the uninitiated, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who got married in 2017, announced their separation on October 2, 2021. An excerpt from the statement read, “To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us.”
It added, “We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during the difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on.
