WHAT! ‘Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Career Is OVER Because Of Cheap And Insane Acts, She Cannot Get Back To Stardom Again’ Attacks Producer
South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an actor par excellence and there is no denying that. She has many hit films to her credit and her recent sizzling number ‘Oo Antava’ from Puspa: The Rise speaks volumes about her versatility. However Samantha’s latest offering ‘Shaakuntalam’ has tanked at the box office despite so much hype around the film. Following this, the producer named Chittibabu has lashed out at the actress saying her career is finished.

Speaking with Siasat.com, the producer stated that Samantha has lost the status of a star heroine and now she is doing whatever offers she is getting. Chittibabu was quoted as saying, “Samantha did Oo Antava item song in Pushpa The Rise after her divorce. She did it for her livelihood. After losing the status of a star heroine, she is doing whatever offers she is getting. Her career as the heroine is finished and she cannot get back to stardom again. She should continue her journey doing the offers she gets.” ALSO READ: WHAT! He went on to allege that the actress has been playing a sympathy card by making everyone emotional about her health issues. Not just that, the producer even mentioned that he fails to understand how Samantha bagged Shakuntala. “Every time sentiment will not work. If the role and film is good people will watch. All these are cheap and insane acts. I wonder how Samantha who lost her heroine status suited for the role of Shakuntala. I do not have any interest in Shaakuntalam,” Chittibabu further added.

The 35-year-old actress is yet to react to this. Meanwhile, her film ‘Shaakuntalam’ was directed by Gunasekhar and was based on Kalidas' popular play titled 'Abhigyan Shakuntalam'. Having released on April 14, the film received a lukewarm response from critics and audiences alike. Its performance at the ticket window is quite disappointing.

She will next be seen in Raj & DK's forthcoming web series Citadel India opposite Varun Dhawan.
