Anupamaa's Sudhanshu Pandey Reveals He Broke Down While Reading Vanraj's Outburst Scene; Says ‘I Couldn't Go Beyond The Third Page’
Anupamaa actor Sudhanshu Pandey revealed that he broke down while reading the emotionally draining scene featuring Vanraj’s outburst on the show. Sudhanshu plays the role of Vanraj in the TV show
TV show Anupamaa went on air after there was a relaxation in the lockdown restrictions. Since then, the show has been topping TRP charts every week. Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey are garnering a lot of praise for their stellar performance on the show. Currently, the show is seeing a lot of high-intense drama between Vanraj, played by Sudhansu and his younger son. Now, in an interview, Pandey opened up about the time he was shooting for the scene. Sudhanshu Pandey revealed that he broke down while reading the emotionally draining scene featuring Vanraj’s outburst on the show.
Speaking about the show, a report in India Today quoted Sudhanshu saying, “I haven't watched many shows so I don't know what kind of emotional intensity is shown on television, but for me, it was the hardest portrayal and execution of a scene. Emotionally it was extremely draining. When I started reading the scene, I couldn't go beyond the third page because I broke down while reading it. I got a little worried about how I would perform such an excruciatingly emotional scene."
The Singh Is Kinng actor also shared that he received amazing feedback for the scene and mentioned it was phenomenal. Sudhanshu Pandey added, “My performance in the recent episodes received an incredible amount of love, appreciation and some really heartwarming messages from all across the globe. Even from the production house, the cast and their families, everyone's feedback was incredible. I think I was humbled, and I can't tell you how beautiful it was because I had put my heart and soul into the scene.” The actor further mentioned that it was an 11-page scene that he performed and enacted over nine hours at a stretch. He also shared that he hasn’t recovered his voice and explained how intense it all was for him.
Meanwhile, Vanraj aka Sudhanshu also shared some details about the future track and his character in the show. The actor shared that Vanraj will surely mellow down in future, stating that he cannot possibly be outrageously angry all the time. Talking about the show, the plot of Anupamaa sees Sudhanshu’s character having an extra-marital affair for eight years. Vanraj also keeps underestimating his wife Anupama, thinking she’s only good for household chores.
