Arun Govil Recalls Working With Late Arvind Trivedi In Ramayan; 'Ram And Ravan Were Two Strong Characters, But There Was No Rivalry Between Us'
Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi, who was widely known for playing the character of 'Ravan' in Ramanand Sagar's TV show Ramayan, left for his heavenly abode on October 5. The veteran actor had been unwell and suffering from age-related issues. As soon as the sad news of his demise broke out, heartfelt tributes poured in from his co-stars, fans and friends. Arun Govil, who played the role of Ram in Ramayan, said that he regrets not attending his funeral this morning.

Sharing his experience of working with the veteran star, he told ETimes, "Ram and Ravan were two strong characters in Ramayan along with Sita, but there was no rivalry between us. He was a thorough gentleman, a professional and a fine actor. He was very good at what he did and we never had any differences or issues. It was a great experience working with him."

Dipika Chikhlia, who essayed the role of Sita in Ramayan, penned an emotional note for the late actor. She wrote, "my heartfelt condolences to his family... a very fine human being #arvindtrivedi #ravan." Sunil Lahri tweeted, "Bahut dukhad samachar hai ki hamare sabke pyare Arvind bhai (Ravan of Ramayan) Ab hamare bich nahin rahe. Bhagwan unki Atma ko shanti de... I am speechless I lost father figure, my guide, well wishers & gentleman."
