Asit Kumar Modi On Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal’s Sexual Harassment Allegations: 'She Is Trying To Defame Me And The Show, Since We Terminated Her Services'
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal recently filed a sexual harassment case against producer Asit Kumarr Modi, the latter has now reverted to the claims
Asit Kumarr Modi’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of India’s longest running shows. It has entertained the audience for over 15 years now. The show has been in the news for the past few months for its mistreatment of actors. It came as a shock for the netizens when actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who essays the role of Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi, filed a complaint against producer Asit Kumarr Modi, Project Head Sohail Ramani, and executive producer Jatin Bajaj alleging sexual harassment.
Hours after retelling her side of the story, the production team has now reacted to her claims and called it a ‘baseless allegation’. The direction team, in their statement, consisting of Harshad Joshi, Rushi Dave and Arman expressed how Jennifer lacked basic discipline and was never focused on her work. They revealed how they had complained about her behaviour to the production head on many occasions. The accused Ramani and Bajaj also spoke about their experience of dealing with her. They explained that she would regularly misbehave on the set with the entire team. Their quote further read, “While moving out from the shoot, she rashly drove her car out at very high speed not caring for people in her way. She even damaged the set property. We had to terminate her contract because of her bad behaviour and indiscipline during the shoot . During this incident Asit ji was in the USA. They went on to add that their team has already filed a complaint against her with the concerned authorities. Sharing his two cents in the entire matter, producer Modi stated that they will be taking legal action against her for trying to defame the show and him. He added that she is making these allegations, as they recently terminated her services.
The entire incident has left fans in shock, as they are awaiting to know more details about the case.
