Balika Vadhu To Be Re-Telecast And Avika Gor Aka Original Anandi Is Overwhelmed

With the Coronavirus lockdown, many TV channels have decided to re-telecast their popular shows of the past for the viewers in this quarantine time. For instance, Star Plus has brought famous mythological shows like Mahabharat, Siya Ke Ram and Radha Khrishna while Doordarshan decided to rerun their iconic shows like Shaktimaan, Ramayan, Mahabharat, Circus, Dekh Bhai Dekh and many more. Following the same route, this time one of the most popular and longest-running TV shows of Colors, Balika Vadhu will be re-telecast again for the viewers.

Balika Vadhu which starred Avika Gor as the young Anandi and Avinash Mukherjee as young Jagdish was considered to be one the top-rated shows back then. However, as the show is coming again on TV screens, the lead actress Avika is over the moon to see it again. She also shared a video of herself singing the title track on her Instagram feed. While sharing the video, she notified her fans about the date and the time of the show and also tagging a bunch of people who helped her and are associate with the show.

In the end, she mentioned that she very much overwhelmed. The actress also asserted that she will be going live on Instagram and will be watching the show with her fans along with a question and answer session.

Talking about the show, Balika Vadhu is set in rural Rajasthan, the story revolved around the life of an underage child Anandi who gets married at a very young age. The showcases a journey of a child bride from childhood to womanhood and what difficulties a woman faces at a young age. The first season focused on Anandi and Jagdish, who were married in childhood.
