Bekaaboo Actress Priya Banerjee: “I Was Extremely Nervous To Take Up This Erotica Series”
We engaged in a quick conversation with leading lady of ALTBalaji's Bekaboo, Priya Banerjee. The actress expressed her apprehensions about taking up the role and spoke about her character in detail
ALTBalaji recently dropped the trailer of yet another gritty, edgy and sizzling drama Bekaaboo starring Priya Banerjee, Madhussneha Upadhyay and Rajeev Siddhartha as main leads. The moment this sensual mystery promo released, it took the Internet by storm. The Series is an adaptation of Novoneel Chakraborty's bestseller, "Black Suits You” in which Priya essays the role of a seductress stalker named Kashti, who is clever and wild.
Recently, the actress spoke to SpotboyE.com exclusively about her character and the show. Speaking about the response she received after the release of the trailer, she said, "With my role being one that I’ve never done before, this was something that I was extremely nervous about. But the response to the trailer has changed everything leaving me overwhelmed. Right from my family, to my friends, and my close ones from the industry, I have received their well wishes and have been told how excited they are for the show.”
She also mentioned, "Despite the show being an erotic thriller, it is much more than its bold scenes. And that’s what got me hooked to playing the role of Kashti. To completely get into the skin of my character, I had to read the book ‘Black Suits You’, on which the series has been based upon. Kashti is probably the most interesting character that I’ve ever played till date. With the complex character, portraying her in the same manner as written in the book definitely needed a lot of preparation".
Telugu actress Priya Banerjee has also been a part of Bollywood films like Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna, 2016 The End, Rain. She was last seen in ALTBalaji's Baarish that starred Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi in lead roles.
