Saumya Tandon's decision to quit the popular TV show 'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!' came as a shock to her fans. A lot was said about her after she quit the show. In a recent interview, Saumya finally revealed the reason behind her decision. The actress also commented on the rumours that swirled around her split and admitted that it was painful to read all those articles.
In an interview with Indian Express, the actress said that though she had a beautiful journey of five years on the show and forged some amazing friendships on set, as an actor she needed to explore different things while also believing it was time to move on from Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!, before adding that she felt the urge to try her hand at some of the wonderful content being made. She added, "I am a thinking actor and do not feel to be seen on television every day."
From pay-cuts to Covid-19 scare, many reasons were said behind her exit from the show. Addressing the same, she said, "It was so painful to read all the articles. I wasn't allowed to talk to the media then. But I am a person who gives a thought to everything. Neither is it money nor Covid. Sorry to burst the bubble but there is just no controversy here. It was a decision taken as an artists, and I think that is why the team understood it so well."
