Bigg Boss 13’s Hindustani Bhau Granted BAIL By Mumbai Court In Connection With Dharavi Students' Protest Over Online Exams -Report
A few weeks ago, Bigg Boss 13’s contestant and YouTuber Hindustani Bhau was arrested by Dharavi Police for allegedly inciting students in Maharashtra to protest against offline exams. He demanded that their papers should be held online instead and staged protests in four cities. Now, as per the latest reports, Vikas Fhatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau, has been granted bail by the Mumbai sessions court. Advocate Aniket Nikam, who represented Vikas in the court, confirmed the news of him getting bail to ANI.

ANI quoted advocate Aniket Nikam as saying, “Mumbai sessions court grants bail to Vikas Fhatak alias Hindustani Bhau in the matter of Dharavi students protest over online exams. He was arrested on February 1 by Dharavi Police.” In court, Aniket Nikam reportedly argued that no notice under section 41 A Criminal Procedure Code was issued to Hindustani Bhau before arresting which is mandatory under law. He said, “The offence for which he was arrested was punishable upto 5 years and hence notice was must particularly when he was not arrested at the spot. He was arrested later from the place where he was staying.”

For the unversed, Hindustani Bhau was arrested on February 1 following the students' protest in Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad, and Osmanabad demanding cancellation of offline exams.  The protest in Nagpur turned quite violent and created havoc as some protestors pelted stones and damaged a school bus.

As per the Police officials, Vikas Fhatak shared a video on his social media handles where he threatened that if the mode of exams was not changed, he would protest outside the house of Maharashtra's Minister of Education Varsha Gaikwad. Shortly after the video went viral, a group of students staged a protest outside Gaikwad's residence, in Mumbai's Dharavi.
