Bigg Boss 14: Rakhi Sawant Doesn’t Regret Accepting Rs 14 Lakh And Opting Out Of The Race: ‘Needed Money For My Mother's Chemotherapy'
During Bigg Boss 14 finale, Rakhi Sawant chose Rs 14 lakh and decided to opt out of the finale race. Reacting to the same, the controversial queen said she needed money as she didn’t have a penny in her account and her mother is expected to undergo a surgery
The biggest entertainer of Bigg Boss 14, Rakhi Sawant entered the house as one of the challengers, and continued to stay till the end. She became one of the finalists of Bigg Boss 14. The most controversial reality show concluded last night, after 4.5 months of its journey, and it saw Rubina Dilaik, Rahul Vaidya, Nikki Tamboli, Aly Goni and Rakhi Sawant as top 5 finalists of Bigg Boss 14. In the finale, Rubina emerged as the winner, while Rahul became the first runner-up and Nikki Tamboli became the second runner up. During the finale, Rakhi Sawant chose Rs 14 lakh and decided to opt out of the show.
Now, speaking to TOI, Rakhi said that she doesn’t regret her decision as she needed the money for her mother’s Chemotherapy. She told the portal, “I am very proud of my journey and I don't regret anything. I don't regret why I did not stay till the end and walked out with Rs 14 lakh. People are telling me that you should have stayed back, you could have emerged as a winner or could also become a runner-up, but I did not want to take a chance. My mother is expected to undergo surgery, I desperately need money, my bank balance has come to zero.”
She further added, “I needed money for mother's treatment, chemotherapy. Nothing is bigger than my mother or not even the trophy. For me the audience's love and Salman Khan's gift of the bracelet to me is like a trophy. I walked away with the cash as second, third runner-up don't usually get anything and I did not want to take any risk. I don't know if waiting and letting go of the cash could have benefitted me.”
Speaking about facing the difficulties and pain inside the Bigg Boss 14 house, Rakhi told ETimes, “I faced a lot of difficulties inside the house. I also had my weak moments inside the house and had to go through a lot of pain physically, mentally. I had a trauma also inside the house. But I left everything, forgot my sorrows and just entertained people. Bigg Boss also knew very well that there is this contestant who is very sad, so let me give her a task and she will get happy and I will give my heart, soul to the tasks.
