Bigg Boss 14 contestant Rahul Vaidya, who proposed marriage to his ladylove Disha Parmar on national television, is all set to celebrate Gudi Padwa with his family members, and Disha. Rahul’s parents are fond of her and already treat her like a family member. In a recent interview, Rahul Vaidya opened up about how special this year’s Gudi Padwa is, as he will also have his ladylove Disha by his side. He also revealed what his mom gifted Disha; read on!
While speaking to Bombay Times, Rahul Vaidya recalled what celebrating Gudi Padwa is usually like with his family. He said on Gudi Padwa, he wakes up earlier than usual, gets ready, performs puja, and then hoists the gudi, after which he gorges on delicious puranpolis prepared by his mother. Rahul is more excited for Gudi Padwa this year, as Disha will also be celebrating it with him, and this will be their first celebration together.
“With Disha by my side, Gudi Padwa is even more special this year. Being a sardarni, this was a new experience for her,” he said.
The report also states that Rahul Vaidya’s mother has gifted Disha a nath and a traditional Maharashtrian nauvari, and Rahul feels Disha looks beautiful in the Maharashtrian avatar. Disha is pretty excited about donning the attire and celebrating Gudi Padwa with him. “Now that my partner is a Maharashtrian, I look forward to learning more about it. Although I was a part of the celebrations on the set of my last show, Who Apna Sa, this is my first proper participation,” said Disha.
