Bigg Boss 15 contestants Tejasswi Prakash and Shamita Shetty are often seen locking horns with each other on the show. In the latest episode, both the ladies got into an ugly fight after Teja called Shetty ‘Aunty’ during a task. This did not go down well with her as she lashed out at Tejasswi for age-shaming her on the show. Now fans have taken a dig at Tejasswi by sharing an old video of her where she explained how it is derogatory to call a woman ‘aunty.’
This old video of Tejasswi is from her appearance on the show ‘Ladies Vs Gentlemen’. In the episode, all the participants discussed whether calling a woman ‘aunty’ is disrespectful. While revealing that once a man a bit younger than her called her aunty, Tejasswi had said, “Mere saath hua hai. I am like, ‘Main itni bhi badi nahi hoon. Aunty?’ I’ll be honest, maine aise react kiya hai.” She added, “Maine bohot saari auntiyon ko, jo genuinely mujhse bohot badi hai, jinko main aunty hi bulaungi, unko bhi problem hui hai. A lot of people jo aunty wale age group mein hai, they don’t want to believe ki woh aunty wale age group mein hai. When Rithvik Dhanjani said it is not derogatory, Tejasswi hit back at him and said, “For women it is.”
Many users flooded Twitter by sharing this old video and slammed the actress for having double standards on Bigg Boss 15.
For the unversed, during a task, Shamita Shetty sat on Karan Kundrra’s back to give him a massage. But Tejasswi pulled her by her leg and got her down from his back saying, “ye Karan Kundrra hai, Raqesh Bapat nahi.” Later, Tejasswi apologized to Shamita Shetty for her calling her aunty but the latter said she does not want to talk to her anymore.
