Popular controversial reality show 'Bigg Boss 16’ has been making headlines ever since it went on the floors. Even more, host Salman Khan’s fee for this new upcoming season has been a hot topic of discussion. While earlier it was reported that Khan will be charging Rs. 1000 crore for the show, new reports claimed that the actor will be getting fees less than the last season. Yes, you read that right! As per the latest buzz, the Dabangg actor will take a pay cut for the sixteenth season.
As reported by Midday, Bigg Boss OTT won’t be returning with its second season since sponsors faced short of the expected revenue from the first season which was hosted by Karan Johar. Following this, Salman will not get a fee hike instead he will get a pay cut. The report added that for hosting Bigg Boss 15, the 56-year-old actor took Rs 350 crore and if the latest reports are to be believed, Khan will be getting less than this for BB16. However, there is no official confirmation regarding Salman’s paycheck for the upcoming season. Earlier, a report in Financial Express mentioned that Salman asked for a pay hike this year, three times more than what he got for Bigg Boss 15 and the makers agreed. Meanwhile, talking about BB16, the first promo of the show is out and showed Salman teasing fans saying for the first time in 15 years, Bigg Boss will show his game.
Bigg Boss 16 is expected to go on air from 1st October on Colors TV.
