The much-loved reality show Bigg Boss is all set to return to television with its 19th season in August. Hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, the new season will reportedly follow the theme 'Rewind' and is expected to bring back some long-lost features of the show. One of the biggest twists this year is that the audience will nominate the contestants for eviction, unlike previous seasons where housemates did the task themselves. However, contestants will still have to fight to save themselves once nominated.

According to insider page Bigg Boss Tak, the shoot for the main promo and other promotional content is set to begin in July, followed by the show's grand premiere in August. While the exact pros and cons of the ‘Rewind’ theme are still under wraps, it is said to make the competition even more intense. A nostalgic surprise for fans is the return of the iconic 'secret room' — a feature once loved in earlier seasons.

Although the makers have not officially revealed the list of contestants, several names have been doing the rounds online. YouTuber Purav Jha, who recently appeared in The Traitors, is reportedly participating, along with well-known personalities like Raj Kundra, Faisal Shaikh, Ram Kapoor, Tanushree Dutta, and Gaurav Taneja.

Interestingly, a few months ago, there were reports that Bigg Boss 19 might be shelved due to tensions between the channel and the producers. However, it seems the issues have now been resolved, as the show is confirmed to return. Earlier speculation also suggested a 6-month-long season, but the makers have now locked the usual runtime of 3.5 months. With a nostalgic theme and fresh twists, Bigg Boss 19 promises to be an exciting rollercoaster for fans once again.
