Actress and former Splitsvilla contestant Khushi Mukherjee is once again making headlines for her bold fashion choices, which have triggered a wave of criticism online. Many netizens labeled her outfits as “vulgar,” sparking a heated debate across social media platforms.

Reacting to the backlash, Khushi clarified that her style is heavily influenced by global fashion icons like Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Irina Shayk, and various runway models and influencers. She made her stance clear through a strongly worded note shared on her Instagram handle on Monday evening (June 30).

“I wanted to remain SILENT until now!! But I saw that all the fingers are getting pointed on me!! Yes, I should disregard that many of you have been supportive too, but... I would see that it's so easy to just abuse someone on social media, troll them, and come into the limelight,” she wrote.

Addressing those calling her fashion ‘vulgar,’ Khushi stated, “For people who have been asking me or asking everywhere else that is it vulgarity or fashion n concluding that this is in no way any fashion statement... Well, let me tell u that I am myself someone who is bold and courageous, and I like to take daring decisions!”

She continued, “Yes, fashion sometimes fails, sometimes succeeds, but I'm not apologetic for wearing what I like!! All my dresses, as u all can see, are inspired by Hollywood actresses/influencers or even runway models!!”

Khushi concluded by saying, “I live in a democratic country. It is not ruled by the Taliban that there should be a ban on the clothes that I wear!”

Despite criticism about her being a bad influence, Khushi emphasized that everyone should wear what they like and live freely.
