While some are okay to lead the stage alone, a few don’t mind having a partner. Well, filmmaker Karan Johar falls under the latter category. KJo, who is currently hosting Bigg Boss OTT, said that if he had to choose one actor as a co-host of the show, it would be Ranveer Singh. That’s right! As per the filmmaker, Ranveer who is considered to be a volcano of energy and entertainment, would be a treat while interacting with the contestants.
Moreover, KJo also feels Ranveer Singh is a perfect fit because he is ‘over the top’ and unfiltered. Karan was quoted saying by IANS, “Ranveer is (a) powerhouse of energy and entertainment in the Bollywood industry and is a treat to watch and interact with. He would fit in very well because ... is Over The Top, unfiltered, entertaining and is his real self which is what is required for the show.” Meanwhile, Karan Johar will be collaborating with Ranveer Singh again after Simmba for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani also starring Alia Bhatt.
While announcing his new film, he said on Instagram, “Thrilled to get behind the lens with my favourite people in front of it! Presenting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, headlined by none other than Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy. This anokhi kahani is coming to your screens in 2022!”
Talking about the film, in another post, Johar said, “Yes, it’s a love story, but no - it's not your regular love story. Rocky and Rani are going to redefine your usual love stories to take you on a journey!”
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani also stars Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan. The film is expected to release in 2022.
