Shamita Shetty's re-entry as a contestant in the controversial show Bigg Boss OTT has left everyone surprised
Last night, the grand premiere of Karan Johar's reality show Bigg Boss OTT took place and the first female contestant who entered the show was Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty. The actress' family is going through a difficult time ever since her brother-in-law Raj Kundra got arrested in a pornography scandal and her sister Shilpa Shetty is trying to handle everything alone. Amidst all that, Shamita's entry in the house came as a shock to a lot of people. However, during her entry, Shamita gave the reason for participating in the show to host Karan Johar.
Shamita, who has already been a contestant on the reality show in Bigg Boss 3, during her introduction on the stage told the famous producer, "I am so thankful that I am back on Bigg Boss after 10 years. I have changed a lot since then. Honestly, the offer came long back and I had already said yes. However, a lot happened recently and I thought I will let go of the opportunity. But since I had committed, toh ek baar maine commitment kardi to main kisi aur ki nahi sunti." And now a source tells SpotboyE.com that Shamita had lied about her entry and she was offered the show at the very last minute, "Shamita was not offered the show to participate as a contestant. The actress was in fact approached to enter the house for four days prior to the show went on-air. And she said yes to it a day prior of entering the show". Shamita, who started her acting career with blockbuster film Mohabbatein, went on to do many Bollywood films later. However, the actress participated in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 3 at a time when she didn't have some great projects in hand. The actress was last seen in ZEE 5's Black Widows and did Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 back in 2019.
With her participation in the show again, it seems the actress is trying to revive her career?
