Chahatt Khanna Calls #MeToo Movement A 'Publicity Stunt': ‘Some People Took Cheques And Kept Quiet’
Television actress Chahatt Khanna whose marriage made headlines last year is soon going to make her comeback in front of the cameras. She features in Sanjay Dutt's upcoming film Prassthanam. The popular actress made some shocking revelations around the casting couch and #metoo movement in her recent interview to SpotboyE.com. She believes that casting directors are to blame but no one would ever out them or openly admit to their involvement. According to Chahatt the casting couch exists on a large scale in Bollywood and this was the reason, she did not take a plunge in the film business and was happy doing television roles.

Chahatt also mentioned that #Metoo movement is a fashion trend and some people even took cheques and kept quiet. As per her the entire movement is a 'publicity stunt' and said, “jinka publicity stunt tha, woh kaam kar gaya. There are many actresses who did not even raise their voices. Also there are few actors whose names would have surfaced in the movement but did not.” The actress who is a single mother to two daughters named - Zohar and Amaira was earlier married to Bharat Narsinghani but parted ways from him after accusing him of domestic violence.




After that, she tied the knot with Farhan Mirza and the couple was blessed with two daughters. The two walked separate ways after being married for sometime. The actress explaining her point over #MeToo movement and said, “When I  wanted a divorce from my marriages I went ahead with it. I did not wait for any #MeTooDivorced campaign or social platform to raise my voice.”
