COVID-19 Positive Shrenu Parikh Shares Concern, 'People Are Hiding Their Test Results As They Fear Getting Judged'
It was only recently that Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna fame Shrenu Parikh had tested positive for Coronavirus. The actress took to her Instagram to confirm the news. After recovering at the hospital for a few days, Shrenu is now quarantining at her home in Vadodara. Now, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Shrenu has shared her concern on all the stigmas surrounding the virus. She says how people are conscious about sharing their results, or even getting tested for that matter because they fear getting judged by others. Shrenu feels that this fear is way more dangerous than the disease.

Shrenu said, "These stigmas are stopping people from getting their tests and treatments done. Many worry about what people will think of them if they test positive. I think fear and acceptance is scary than the virus itself. Remember, you’re not an embarrassment, you are a victim of something that the whole world is fighting right now." She added how people hiding their diagnoses will only spread the infection."Chances are that this one person might infect more people. Kuchh log yeh soch rahe hain ki unhone kuch paap kiya hai,” said the actress.

Shrenu added that it was first on June 5 that she started getting her symptoms. It began with normal cold and after two days, she got a fever. While Shrenu's doctor called it viral, the actress sensed something odd.

"My parents and brother were like ‘you don’t go out much, why would you have it’? But I was really worried and started maintaining distance. The turning point was when I lost my sensation of smell... I couldn’t smell anything starting from the black coffee that my brother would make me every day, to sanitsiers, strongest room freshners, itars, perfumes… I got tested on June 9 and hospitalised on June 10,” added the actress.
