Dance Deewane 3: Piyush Gurbhele And Rupesh Sonii Lift The Trophy; The Dynamic Duo Talks About The Big Win And Future Plans
Colors' popular dancing reality show ‘Dance Deewane 3’ - judged by Madhuri Dixit, Tushar Kalia and Dharmesh Yelande - has come to an end. And it’s time to send congratulatory messages to Piyush Gurbhele and Rupesh Sonii, who took the trophy home. The grand finale, which aired on Sunday (October 10), turned out to be a blockbuster affair as it featured several power-packed performances.

Dance Deewane 3 gave a chance to contestants from all age groups to participate together in three generations - below 15, 16-35 and above 36 years. This season, the kids turned out to be quite a tough challenge as out of six finalists, four were from the first generation.

Piyush Gurbhele and Rupesh Sonii impressed the judges and the viewers alike - with their remarkable performances. Their versatility proved to be their biggest asset. With every act, they raised the bar of the competition.

"I am excited, happy, thrilled; feeling so many emotions that I can't even express. It still feels like a dream and I cannot thank the judges Madhuri Ma’am, Tushar Sir, Dharmesh Sir and everyone who guided me and Rupesh in our journey,” Piyush Gurbhele was quoted as saying by ETimes.

He added, “I would also like to thank the audience who supported us and put so much faith in our art.”

Rupesh Sonii told Etimes, “This is a big win for me and my partner Piyush. It was a great journey performing in front of celebrated artists who helped and guided us throughout. This show has opened so many doors for us to make a successful career in this field."

Piyush and Rupesh walked away with a cash prize of Rs 40 lakh and a brand new car.

Piyush Gurbhele, who hails from Nagpur, also spoke about his future plans. The Dance Deewane 3 winner gave a brief insight into his background and shared that his family has been living in a rented house for quite some time and she wishes to buy his own house in Nagpur.

“We have been living in a rented house for a while now and I want to buy my own house in Nagpur. That is a long-cherished dream,” he told Etimes, adding, “Initially, coming from Nagpur to Mumbai for auditions was difficult and I would often wonder how I would compete with all the talented people in Mumbai. But then I realised that I have talent, so I shouldn’t feel scared. I kept trying my luck here and now that I have made my place, I feel so happy. I will keep coming to Mumbai for work and whatever opportunities come my way, but for now, I want to go home, fulfil my dream and eat homemade food.”

Speaking of the 'Dance Deewane 3' finale, Madhuri stumped the audience with her finale performance. The other judges also delivered jaw-dropping acts at the grand finale. Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty attended the finale to promote his new show 'Hunarbaaz'. The auditions for the talent-based show have commenced.
