Deepika Singh-Namik Paul Starrer Kavach 2 Going Off Air In November, Cast Shot For The Last Episode On Oct 26- EXCLUSIVE
Another show bites the dust! Kavach 2 starring Deepika Singh and Namik Paul in lead is going off air in November. The star-cast have already shot for the last episode on October 26. The final episode will be telecast sometime in mid November
Of late, we are seeing many shows going off air even before they complete a year. Gone are the days when serials ran for several years. While there are a few exceptions in that case, most of them succumb to the rising pressures of TRP race and eventually, makers pull the plug. Now, Kavach 2 that began in the month of May this year, is already headed for an exit.
There had been rumours that the Deepika Singh and Namik Paul starrer show may go off air on November 20 due to low TRPs. Now, we have learnt that it is indeed happening. In fact, the star cast shot for the last episode on October 26. The episode will be aired sometime in mid November.
A source close to the show revealed to us that from a long time, the makers of Kavach 2 were planning to pull the plug on the show due to dwindling numbers. Even the time leap that was introduced a couple of months back, didn’t help. Next, the show was moved to the evening slot. However, nothing seemed to have helped and the makers thought it wise to end the show, rather than drag it. The cast was informed of this decision only last week and they shot for the final episode on Oct 26.
It’s quite unfortunate that the serial which created huge buzz in the beginning, thanks to the star cast- Deepika Singh and Namik Paul, had to end on such an abrupt note. This show marked Deepika’s comeback to TV and now, with it coming to an end within 7 months, we are sure the cast would be heartbroken.
