Deepshikha’s ex-husband Kaishav hits back

In an exclusive
conversation with SpotboyE, Kaishav has lashed out against his former wife. “I
guess she is doing all this to garner publicity. She knows she is past her
prime. On the other hand, being 10 years younger, I have time on my hand,” the
television actor says.

Dismissing Deepshikha’s allegations, he claims, “I didn’t assault her, it was the other way around -- she slapped me. As for trespassing into her house, it was early morning and I had gone to collect my things. She didn’t like me packing my stuff in her bedsheet. I reminded her that she has many things in her home that was bought by me and yet, she was making a hue and cry about a bedsheet. We had a huge fight over this and finally, she slapped me. Later, she filed a police complaint saying I had assaulted her. Ironically, when my friends went to collect my stuff, she handed it over in the same bedsheet.”
Why did their
marriage end? Kaishav says, “When you marry an older lady with kids, you are
never loved enough. I always played second fiddle to her children, who I
treated as my own. Also, I got to know that she’s having an extramarital
affair. To top it all, she was very insecure about her age. She’d have a
problem if I spoke nicely to her best friend even. I think she expected me to
fund her luxurious lifestyle when her chips were down. I am not rich enough to
afford it.”

He adds,
“Whenever we quarrelled, she would always talk of divorce, which is unheard of
in my family. She does not value relationships; her ties with own family are
strained. I have suffered a lot on account of our marriage -- most of my
family members were against the match, they did not hold her in high
esteem. Now, they snigger at me saying we saw this coming.”
Did he marry her
to further his career? He says, “No Godfather can save your career, you
need talent. Also, after marriage, I quit acting to become a producer. In
any case, she was not a big name when we married. I was a co-producer on the film Yeh Dooriyan when we fell in love -- she was so caring. In hindsight, l
feel had I just stayed professional, my life would have been better. Maybe I
would have found real love as well.”
Any message for
Deepshikha? “I hope she understands that if she washes dirty linen in public,
some of it will splash on her clothes as well. I wanted to hit back when
she filed a police complaint against me last year, but did not do so, as she
was my izzat. But now, I am free as she is not my wife anymore.”
