Did Lovemaking Scenes In Halala Make Shafaq Naaz Uncomfortable? The Actress Opens Up
Ullu App web series, Halala has been grabbing headlines for its bold content. The actress of the series, Shafaq Naaz spoke to us exclusively about the intimate scenes she had to shoot with Ravi Bhatia and Eijaz Khan
TV actress Shafaq Naaz is being praised for her acting skill in her latest web series Halala, streaming on Ullu App. The show also grabbed eyeballs due to its controversial storyline and bold content. For the first time Shafaq has gone bold on-screen and is seen doing intimate, lovemaking scenes with both the male actors of the show- Eijaz Khan and Ravi Bhatia. We spoke to the actress about shooting these scenes and she was very forthcoming to talk about it.
We started our conversation by asking how the actress agreed to do such bold scenes. Shafaq Naaz replied, "It was really difficult, to be honest because it was something out of my comfort zone. The only I reason I agreed was because it was making sense as per the storyline. So, these scenes are not added just because it’s a web series and some adult content needs to be there. The scenes are well-connected to the story and they have helped bring out those moments in the most beautiful way.”

Shafaq further mentioned, "When they approached me for this series and mentioned about such bold scenes, I was very hesitant. I clearly told them I don't have any issues doing it but my only concern is it should make sense to the storyline or else I don't want to do it.”

Explaining the process of shoot, Shafaq added, "When we were shooting the scene, I took a lot of time to convince myself. Thankfully, my director and both the actors- Eijaz and Ravi- helped me in being comfortable. They were really very nice and I think because of them only I could perform so well. They eased me out in that environment.”

You may recall, a few days back, Shafaq had revealed to SpotboyE.com that she is ready to face criticism as the show has a controversial subject and she being a Muslim would add to it. On the other hand, her co-star Ravi Bhatia also spoke to us in detail about his intimate scenes with Shafaq, a week back. "I was in two minds whether I should do it or not. That's why I discussed it with Yulida, who is literally my boss and then a wife. She completely understands my work and is the one who encouraged me to do it without hesitation," had said Ravi who has done shows like Dharam Veer, Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat and Jodha Akbar, along with two Indonesian series Roro Jonggrang and Cinta Di Langit Taj Mahal.
