Renowned television actress Shilpa Shinde enjoys a huge fan following on social media. She often takes to her official handles to share glimpses of her outings, media appearances and upcoming projects. She rose to fame when she essayed the role of Angoori Bhabhi from Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! and went to participate in reality shows like Bigg Boss season 11 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 10.

However, did you know that her family was against her decision to be a part of the entertainment industry? Yes, you read that right! According to the report by ABP News, it had been her dream to become an actress ever since she was a young child. Shilpa’s family was against her entering the entertainment industry. She defied their wishes and decided to make her dreams come true by doing her debut with the Telugu film industry. Ever since, the 45-year-old tried her luck in many movies but to no avail and went on to act in television serials like 'Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan', 'Haatim', 'Sanjivani', 'Miss India' and many more, until she got the opportunity to star as the lead in &TV’s Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! Alongside talented artists like Aasif Sheikh, Rohitash Gaud and Saumya Tandon. Shilpa had an emotional breakdown while talking about her family on Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa 10. She had said, “Log parivaar bolte hain, woh ek naam diya hai, kuch accha hojaaye, toh aajate hain par kuch bura hojaaye toh 10 logon ke saath baithke burayi karte hain apne logon ki.” The celebrity dance-based reality show was judged by Nora Fatehi, Karan Johar and Madhuri Dixit.
