It was in the month of September 2017 that the actress marked her exit from the show, as she was expecting her first baby. While this news did come as a shocker for fans, they cooperated with the makers because they were expecting her return after a certain period. However, now, it has been more than two years and we still wait to hear ‘Hey Maa, Mataji,’ on our TV screens.
There came several instances when the rumours of Disha Vakani never returning to the show made it to the headlines, well, there also came times when she was being expected to make a comeback. Things, however, didn’t get materialised. During this Navratri, the confirmed news of Disha’s comeback got fans excited; adding onto it was a glimpse of her scene that went viral on the internet. It was being anticipated that the actress will grace our televisions during the festival. Well, fans were glued to their TV screens to witness the same but, sigh. The makers never aired it due to alleged creative differences and things went haywire yet again.
In the month of October, rumours of Disha Vakani being concerned over her baby girl surfaced online. It was being speculated that the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have also offered her an on-set nursery for her baby. “The makers have been trying their best to get Disha back on the show. They have been considerate enough to adjust as per her requirements but looks like Disha’s husband isn’t convinced. Apart from other demands, the makers promised Disha that she can work only three hours a day and they will also provide her with a separate nursery for the kid,” said a source to Pinkvilla.
Well, they haven’t concluded anything as of now, but we eagerly wait to see our favourite character taking over the TV screens with her unmatchable screen presence.
