Divya Drishti: Sangita Ghosh Aka Pishachini To Bid Adieu The Show, ‘There's Nothing Much Left'
Sangita Ghosh who essays the role of Pishachini in Divya Drishti is leaving the show saying that there is nothing much left to explore and hence, she is not keen on continuing.
Sangita Ghosh was signing praises after she played the antagonist as Pishachini in the supernatural show, Divya Drishti. From her style of talking to her dressing style, Sangita was already a hit amongst the fans. But apparently, Sangita will be now leaving the show next month. Earlier, there were reports floating that she will be making an exit as a source told Telly Chakkar that Sangita is not too sure if she would want to continue as Pichashini in Divya Drishti. However, she is waiting to have a brief on the upcoming track after which she will make a decision to continue or to quit the show. But according to the Times Of India report, Sangita said that there is nothing much left to explore and she was not keen on continuing.
While talking to the portal, she was quoted saying, “She says, 'There is nothing much left to explore as far as my character is concerned. I realised that I can’t keep dragging on without any clarity. Divya Drishti was supposed to be a finite show with 52 episodes, and was scheduled to wrap up in July last year, but it got an extension. The makers tried to explore my character further, but I was not keen on continuing.”
Meanwhile, Sangita denies being aware of any replacement. She shares, “My character’s track will have a proper ending, so it is not clear if they will replace me with another antagonist. In any case, clarity about the character always works for the actor but unfortunately, that is not the case in television.” Since Sangita is leaving the show, we wonder who will become the next Pishachini.
