The country is celebrating Dussehra-the festival that marks the victory of good over evil today with great zeal. It is believed that on this day Lord Rama defeated the demon king Ravana. Hindus around the globe celebrate Dussehra by burning effigies of Ravana.
And just like the rest of the country, celebrities are also seen celebrating this day with their loved ones. Here is what celebs have to say about Dussehra.
Sanjay Gagnani “ I am very fond of all the traditional occasions and I always make sure no matter if I am out for a shoot or whatsoever I always make sure that I celebrate the occasion with my family. Dusshera indeed is one of my favourite and I always makes sure that i am there at the pooja.”
Karanvi Sharma “I love celebrating any festival with the whole family. Ofcourse Dussehra is special because we keep the whole 10 days period where we pray to mata and we have Akhand Jyot which burns and evades all the negativity in the house and protect our family. We pray for our friends and family, I also turn Jain during this period just to give my regards and respect to Mata and this Dussehra is absolutely special because it is also my mom’s birthday and its a double celebration for us and i am really happy to celebrate it with her and the entire family.”
Neha Bhasin “While we spent a whole year in the quarantine and we all must’ve missed spending the festivals with our loved ones. Even while i was in Bigg Boss I use to miss my family a lot but now i am glad that I got to spend this day with my loved ones.”
