Ekta Kapoor REACTS To Accusations That Tejasswi Prakash Won Bigg Boss 15 Because Of Naagin 6: 'There's Something About Her Eyes And I Just Had To Cast Her'
Ekta Kapoor has reacted to accusations that Tejasswi Prakash won Bigg Boss 15 because of Naagin 6
During the grand finale of Bigg Boss 15, it was announced that Tejasswi Prakash is the new Naagin. After she was declared the winner of the reality show, many alleged that she won the show because she bagged a role in Ekta Kapoor's show. Now, Ekta has reacted to all the accusations and has revealed the reason behind casting Tejasswi as the new Naagin.
Speaking to ETimes, she said, "I saw Tejasswi in the show and we spoke to her manager and signed her who assured us that she will be onboard. Before the show, I had seen her. I had liked her so much though I don't see too much of Bigg Boss but a lot of my friends do. Also, there's clippings of Bigg Boss all over Instagram and you end up watching it."
She added, "I feel she is a very attractive young girl. There's something about her eyes and I just had to cast her. Honestly, I've never met her except for this show and now I gave her the narration." Reacting to the trolls who accused the actress of winning BB15 because of Naagin 6, Ekta said, "I felt there was some kind of luck that went to her. More than that I've done nothing. I don't think I have the power to tell a channel that I want this girl as my next Naagin. I found her pretty, she clearly had a lot of love from the audience and I connected to her when I saw her and that's all that made her win. Poor girl that she has to constantly defend herself."
Furthermore, talking about choosing epidemic as Naagin 6's storyline, Ekta said, "When my friend narrated me this concept and she told me you should do this and corona is not just about the disease, it is a mind changing thing, she told me I am no longer dealing with relatable topics in the country. I actually knew at that point ke mujhe gaaliyaan padne wali hai because agar yehi kaam koi really celebrated maker karta, things would have been different. Naagin is an out mass, commercial pulp show and there will be criticism and I am fine with it because I am not calling it corona. I want to show what people went through in the last 2 years."
