Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta aired on Zee Tv from 2009 to 2014 and it was among the most popular shows back then. It starred Ankita Lokhande as Archana, and Sushant Singh Rajput as Manav, and both of them shot to fame after this television show. With the booming OTT space in India currently several popular shows such as Jamai Raja, Qubool Hai have returned with another season, with the episodes streaming on OTT platforms.
Now, if reports are to be believed, Ekta Kapoor is planning to launch another season of Ankita Lokhande- Sushant Singh Rajput’s Pavitra Rishta on Zee5. According to a report in TellyChakkar, Ekta Kapoor will return with season 2 of Pavitra Rishta on ZEE’s OTT platform ZEE5 and Ekta Kapoor’s digital space ALTBalaji. As per the report, the makers are keen to launch Pavitra Rishta 2 and want to introduce a new cast for the next season. If these reports are true, it’s amazing news for fans of the popular television show.
Hiten Tejwani had replaced Sushant Singh Rajput’s role as Manav in 2011, after the latter had quit the show. Pavitra Rishta also starred Rithvik Dhanjani, and Asha Negi.
Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande had met on the sets of Pavitra Rishta and later fell in love. The two had been in a relationship for almost six years until they parted ways in 2016. Recently, Ankita Lokhande called out late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans who have been making nasty comments on her videos. “Sushant always wanted to grow in his life and that is what he did. Woh chala gaya apne raaste. Uske liye main kahaan galat saabit hoti hoon? Mujhe kyun gaaliyaan di jaati hai? Maine kya galat kiyam” said Ankita Lokhande, in the video.
