Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Disha Vakani aka Dayaben’s abrupt break from her acting career has sparked discussions about her health concerns. Now, TMKOC team has clarified that Disha is doing well and there are no concerns with her health as well.
The statement comes after several reports suggested that Disha Vakani is suffering from throat cancer because of her character Dayaben’s peculiar voice in the show. She took a sabbatical break from her acting career and went on a maternity break. In the aftermath, the actor’s fans have been missing her terribly and they eagerly want her back on the show. A source close to the development rubbished all the reports and labelled them ‘false’!
Assuring that the 44-year-old actress is doing well, the TMKOC team also maintained that there are many voice-over artists and radio jockeys who perform voice modulation, and this process does not cause any health or voice issues.
The news of Disha’s medical condition sparked uproar amongst the fans and many were shocked by the reports.
Meanwhile, Dilip Joshi aka Jetha Lal of Taarak Mehta Show himself rubbished the fake reports of his co-star’s health. “I have been getting continuous calls since morning. Every now and then some funny news comes. I think there is no need to promote it. All I would say is that it is all a rumour. Don't pay attention to them. That is, the fans of Disha Vakani do not need to worry,” Dilip Joshi was quoted as saying by Aaj Tak.
The Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah lead also declared that the actress is fine. However, Disha Vakani or her family are yet to issue their statement about the same.
After Dilip Joshi, Asit Modi - the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah - also reacted to the rumours about Dayaben actor’s medical condition and said that Asit Modi says that he has no information about this. A recent Aaj Tak report quoted him adding that people put such news on social media for likes and clicks. Cancer is caused by smoking tobacco and not by exhaling sound. In this way, all those who do mimicry will be scared.
Following Disha’s decision to take a sabbatical, Dayaben’s character in TMKOC doesn’t exist at present as the makers are still searching for a new face.
The buzz is that Dayaben’s character will is played by Aishwarya Sakhuja or Kajal Pisal, however, there is no confirmation on the same.
