FIR Registered Against Pratyusha Banerjee’s Boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh

Rahul Raj Singh, late TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s boyfriend, has courted controversy yet again. This time for allegedly molesting a 21-year-old South Indian actress (name not disclosed) and her producer friend outside Bora Bora in Andheri West in the wee hours of Monday. The actress and her friend have registered an FIR against Rahul and a female friend (name not disclosed), who was with him last night, at the Amboli police station.
Rahul and his friend filed a counter FIR a few hours later. The incident has been captured on CCTV and the footage has been handed over to the police.

According to police sources, Rahul and his friend were having dinner and drinks, while the actress had gone to the hotspot with her producer friend for the same. However, when the two were entering the restaurant, Rahul approached the actress’ friend and began beating him.
Said the actress, “Rahul seemed to be in an inebriated state. At 12.30 am, when we were entering the restaurant, Rahul saw us and suddenly became furious. He approached us and started arguing with my friend and even hit him.”
“When I tried stopping Rahul, he abused and hit me as well. When I approached Rahul's female friend, who was with him at restaurant, she too misbehaved and said that whatever Rahul did was right,” she added.
The actress further said, “Rahul even said that I have handled many women like you. In Pratyusha’s case, police could not do anything with me, what you can do, you are nothing.”
Is Rahul seeking revenge?
A source informs us that a few weeks ago, Rahul had gone to the actress’ producer friend’s office in Andheri West regarding a project. As he was busy, he asked Rahul to come back later. Apparently, Rahul stayed back and began smoking. In fact, he misbehaved with the friend. A heated argument followed after which, he eventually left the office. The friend opines that the ruckus created could have a connection with whatever transpired that day.
A police officer from Amboli police station said, “We have filed a cross case under section 354, 509, 504 and 34 of IPC. We will verify CCTV footage and take statements in the matter. Further investigations are on before arresting anyone.”
