The mythical Naagin, it is believed, wreaks havoc on whoever invites her wrath.
Seems, the trait is rubbing off on Mouni Roy, who plays a snake-woman in television show Naagin. Her fury brought the show’s shoot to a sudden halt yesterday.
Even the presence of the media on the set couldn’t make the actress check her temper.
Not that we blame her completely. You see, Mouni had already shot all her scenes except one during the first half of the day itself. She kept waiting for her last scene of the day, but in vain.
Finally, when the shift was just about to get over, she was handed over the shot script. Thoroughly miffed, the actress hurried everyone up. “Jaldi karo, ekdum jaldi,” she was heard saying.
Now, episode director Chandani didn’t take it too well and said, “Mouni, it doesn’t work like that.”
That was it. A furious Mouni shot back saying Chandani has no business to talk like that as she is not the main director (Santram Verma holds that post).
Luckily, Santram was close by and he rushed to pacify the leading lady after which the scene was shot.
Says a crew member, "Mouni was tired and she had waited for long. Also, she is a big name, so her comfort should have been kept in mind.”
All’s well that ends well.
