Actress Avika Gor truly deserves no introduction. The actress rose to fame with her brilliant stint in the popular television show Balika Vadhu. The Indian soap opera was set in rural Rajasthan and revolved around the life of a child bride transitioning from her childhood to womanhood. Avika was seen playing the role of Young Anandi in the show, which was the longest-running Indian television series on Colors TV. As the actress turns a year older today, we stumbled upon an old interview of Avika wherein she spoke about the money she made from Balika Vadhu.
When Avika Gor was 12 years old, she appeared on the talk show ‘On the Couch with Koel.’ On being asked by the host, where all that money goes that she earned from the show, the actress said, “My dad told me it's put in an insurance fund. And you know what, I have 5222 in my piggy bank.” Further, when asked what she'll do with the money, Avika stated that she will buy something.
She also mentioned that she hadn't spent a single penny of her own money on anyone, and was waiting to save up a larger amount. However, the Sasural Simar Ka actress also admitted that her dad bought her an iPhone for her birthday.
Meanwhile, Avika Gor will ring in her birthday on June 30 with a streaming event as a part of a fundraiser, alongside Tanmay Bhat and Aishwarya Mohanraj among others. It is said that the proceeds will go to an NGO. She has urged her fans not to send her gifts, and donate instead.
