Here Is Madhurima Tuli’s First Look From Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta

There is immense buzz surrounding Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta starring Madhurima Tuli and Vishal Aditya Singh. Feast your eyes on the actress’ intense first look was the first to tell you that Madhurima Tuli has been finalised to play the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta, which is all set to go on floors next month.

Weeks later, Vishal Aditya Singh was finalised to feature opposite the actress.

Madhurima looks fierce in the bold red lipstick, feather earrings and tiara. The promo of the fantasy show will air soon. also has it that the actress will be introduced as the beautiful Aiyara in the teaser, who has the capability of changing her personality. A rajkumar is sent to kill her, but he ends up falling in love with Aiyara owing to her beauty and thus begins a romantic relationship.

Chandrakanta’s casting generated immense buzz in the industry circles. A number of names including that of Krystle D’souza, Hina Khan, Nia Sharma and Madhurima Tuli were doing the rounds, and it was Madhurima who finally made the cut. also told you that Ekta vetoed Hina’s casting as she was of the opinion that the audience was so used to seeing Hina as Akshara, the doting mother of two children, that they will not be able to accept her as a fantasy temptress.

Soon after, Shilpa Agnihotri joined the cast. The actress, who was last seen in Dosti...Yaariyan...Manmarziyan, has been roped in for a cameo. Her character dies in the first episode.

You may recall that Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta is not based on the eponymous novel penned by Devki Nandan Khatri.

The producer wants to experiment with the show so as to separate it from Kritika Kamra’s Prem Ya Paheli -- Chandrakanta, currently being aired on Life OK. She is actively involved with creative aspects of the show and sits down for briefings with actors.
