Choosing between career and marriage is always a tough call for a woman. That's the trouble plaguing popular TV actress Drashti Dhami. The actress, who is currently seen in the period drama Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, tied the knot with her businessman boyfriend Neeraj Khemka in February this year. The good-looking actress was dating Neeraj for as long as six years. Both the families were keen that the relationship culminates into marriage.

Drashti, on the other hand, was unsure about taking the plunge- the actress was aware that her married status may adversely affect her popularity. (Probably the reason why she never came out in the open about her relationship with Neeraj in the first place.)
Not just that, she felt that marriage would bring about family responsibilities, which would in turn force her to make acting her second priority.
When Neeraj's family wanted Drashti to take the saat pheras right after Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, she asked for some time. Ditto after her Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.
However, Neeraj and his family got tired of the waiting game. Turns out, earlier this year, they gave Drashti an ultimatum - get married now or put an end to the relationship.
Poor Drashti had little choice but to give in.
Not just that, when a journalist turned up unannounced to cover her wedding, she hit back at him by saying that she will deny him coverage of her new show.
Despite repeated texts and calls, the actress chose not to respond.
