Actress Sumbul Touqeer who's currently winning hearts as Imlie, has been a part of several hit shows in the past. The actress who began her career with Article 15 was supposed to have only 2 scenes in the film. Shocking right? The actress who was playing the sister of the antagonist in the film, managed to convince the director to offer her more screen time, with her impeccable acting skills.

When we reached out to the actress to know more about it, Sumbul said, "Firstly, I did not know what was happening. Whatever sir asked me to do, I followed all his instructions and when I saw the film I was in tears as my part was eventually increased. Apart from that, I was really moved by the fact that I had signed up for a small role but my name was included in the star cast and it did appear on the screen before the film started. Earlier, Sumbul had quoted in an interview how Ayushmann Khurrana himself walked up to her father and praised her performance after a particular scene in the film which was believed to be a turning point in the entire narrative.

The actress was earlier seen in Chakradhari Ajay Krishna, Chandragupt Maurya, and Isharon Isharon Mein. However, Imlie bought her massive popularity and success and remains her most reputed project to date.
