IN PICS: Team Balika Vadhu shoots last episode; show ends after 8 years

Balika Vadhu, the longest running show of Colors, recently shot for the final episode of the serial. The entire team got emotional as Mahhi Vij and Ruslaan Mumtaz delivered their last shot for the show.
Post the shoot, the team even cut a cake to commemorate the 8-year-long run of the show.
Balika Vadhu started with the life of Anandi and Jagdish, who were married off to each other when they were children. The character of Anandi was first essayed by Avika Gor and later by Pratyusha Banerjee. Not too long ago, the story took a generation leap – Mahhi Vij was introduced as Nimboli, Anandi’s daughter. However, the generation leap did not find favour from the audience and the makers decided to wrap up the show.
The last episode will see Nimboli launching her book, which is based on her mother’s plight after with child marriage.
