A contestant of Indian Idol 12 named, Shanmukhapriya receives her first project all thanks to Anu Malik
In multiple singing reality shows, impressed by the contestants, the judges have promised to offer contestants some projects or the other, leaving them overwhelmed. A similar incident happened in Indian Idol 12 as well when music composers and singers Anu Malik, Sameer Anjaan and Udit Narayan graced the show for a 90s special episode. During the episode, a contestant named Shanmukhapriya performed on Tata Young's Dhoom title track and Crazy Kiya Re. Impressed with her powerful and incredible vocals, Udit Narayan said that if Shakira is a star then Shanmukhapriya is no less.
While Sameer said that if ever Dhoom 5 is made, she should lend her voice for it. However, the one who was the most dazzled was Anu Malik who directly offered a signing project. That’s right, Shanmukhapriya has already bagged her first project with the music composer who asked if she is willing to be a part of it. This leaves Shanmukhapriya and her mother completely awestruck. Well, after all, dreams do come true and Shanmukhapriya has just experienced one in Indian Idol 12.
Apart from Shanmukhapriya, another contestant Nachiket Lele was seen singing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Main Hoon Na’s titled track, leaving everyone highly impressed with his soothing voice. Hearing his voice, Anu Malik said that singers like him, makes them go crazy. A video of the same was shared by the channel’s official Instagram account. In the video, giving a tribute to Anu Malik’s Main Hoon Na composition, the judges Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar and Himesh Reshammiya along with the contestants started whistling the iconic whistle of the film.
